I am Alive

by Diana on August 10, 2009

I have been MIA. I am aware. It’s not that I don’t have anything to say here, it’s just that everything I start to say — in the some fifteen drafts I have awaiting completion — I fail to finish. For whatever reason (school needs to start!) I cannot compose a full thought to save my life. And I kind of have to — you know in order to make money — elsewhere so here unfortunately falls to the wayside when I struggle.

In the meantime, to compensate for my shortcomings, I give you a round-up of where I’ve been. In no particular order — or perhaps in very particular order, you be the judge — the things I’m reading, writing, editing, and loving from about the great inter-webz:

  • Last week was National Farmer’s Market week and I celebrated over at the Handmade Food column on Try Handmade with a how-to. Before that we chatted Goat’s Milk and Cheese and Local Wines. This week’s column will be up soon.
  • I’ve been watching Dana Loesch’s recent struggle with being high-profile in politics at a time when her views happen to be those on the dissenting side of things and weighing my own passion against what is inevitable for those that get involved as Dana has, as I would like to. Many of the drafts left unfinished are those thoughts on this topic that I’ve yet to iron out. They’ll be soon to come I’m sure.
  • In the meantime I’m getting my political fix working on the preliminary steps of organizing a protest on health care in our state’s capitol (Lansing, MI). And am hoping to make that happen very soon. If you’d like to get involved or know someone who would email me — I’ll take all the help and support I can get. diana [at] dianaprichard [dot] com.
  • Plus I’m working on an exciting new project that I hope to launch soon in an effort to bring women in politics together!

Hopefully, by the time these links are no longer keeping you busy I’ll be back here with something profound or at least remotely entertaining to say.

Jesus Christ. You butcher chickens. I think you are a much stronger woman than I. But, REALLY, I’ve been thinking about starting a 101/1001 list. I like the color coding. Just gotta figure out what to put on it.
